The first two pictures are of both color compares together, the third one is with a flash:
This one is Girl, obviously, and the second is Boy:
My urine in the morning is very yellow to start, and it said if it stays the same or up to orange it's a girl result and if it is green, dusky green, or dark green it's a boy result. What do you all think is the result?
Also, here are a few examples on the Intelligender's website, if that helps.
I've never heard of anything in your urine that can determine the sex of your baby. In fact, the baby is only JUST NOW (about 10 weeks) making an internal distinction between boy or girl. The only way to know the baby's sex FOR CERTAIN at this point is to construct a karyotype from amniotic fluid, and the only reason that gets done is if you are older than 35 and therefore at risk of having a Down's baby.
ReplyDeleteApparently, Kathie Lee Gifford sexed one of her babies via urine, but it was a very expensive test done in a lab. I'd wager your OTC test is extremely unreliable.
Also, if a woman has polycystic ovary syndrome, she is more likely to get a boy reading no matter what the sex is.
ReplyDeleteLeave it to D to be all scientific! lol
ReplyDeleteIt was supposed to be just for fun, we're not pinning our hopes or decorating the nursery or buying baby clothes based on the results of this thing. The website says it's 90% accurate, lol
And yes, I knew about the PCOS thing, it says the disclaimer on the box and all over the website. :ob
I think it would be fun if it was correct.
Sorry. I've been working on research stuff today, so the science part of the brain was still engaged.
ReplyDeleteJust so you know, if it's a girl, I'm not giving her anything pink! Blech! :-)
::giggles:: I could tell :oD I was just teasing you.
ReplyDeleteAnd that's fine, I'm fond of all sorts of colors! and I'm sure I'll get plenty of pink from my mom ::laughs::
