Escape Artist

So...I now have a little escape artist! She was being persistent about not wanting to take a nap today, but was overly tired. She fussed for an hour, while Roger and I tried to nap at the same time. I had just dozed off when I thought the baby monitor had gotten awful loud all of the sudden, I turned to look at it and she was right in my face saying, "mom! mom!"

This freaks me to my core...what if she had broken an arm, a leg, her neck? She is not ready for an open bed, or her bed to be converted, otherwise no one in the house would get sleep because she would just want to play all night, but what do I do? I've researched ways to keep her in her crib, but the best alternative was recalled in July. The other option I found costs $100...yikes!!

I briefly considered making my own, using the idea from the $100 one, but what if I do it wrong and something serious happens to her? I'm at a loss, and don't know what to do. I don't have that kind-of money just floating around, but she is really not ready for an open bed, but I don't want her falling out of her crib and sustaining serious injury...
